Argus Announces Contract with NCT Offshore

Argus Remote Systems AS Announces Contract with NCT Offshore for Ultra Compact Worker ROV Systems

Argus Remote Systems AS, a leading provider of high-performance electric ROVs, is thrilled to announce a contract with Danish company NCT Offshore. This partnership marks a significant milestone as Argus will deliver two state-of-the-art Ultra Compact Worker ROV systems designed to meet the demanding conditions of operations in strong current areas and specifically tailored for the offshore wind industry.

NCT Offshore, renowned for its innovative solutions in the offshore sector, approached Argus with specific requirements for a compact yet robust vehicle capable of executing precise tasks under challenging conditions. The primary application of these ROVs will be touch-down monitoring during cable laying processes, and messenger line retrieval, which are critical operations requiring precision, reliability, and durability. The vehicles will be mobilized onboard NCT Offshore’s newest super-hybrid cable lay vessel currently under construction, with delivery later this year.

In response to NCT Offshore’s requirements, Argus developed a new Ultra Compact Worker ROV model. This model combines the latest underwater technology with Argus's longstanding expertise in engineering ROVs that can withstand the rigours of subsea environments. The new ROV system has advanced navigation and control systems, ensuring unparalleled performance in areas with strong currents.

"We are honoured to partner with NCT Offshore in this venture," said Frode Gaupås, CCO of Argus Remote Systems AS. "This contract signifies the trust in our technology and aligns with our mission to push the boundaries in underwater operations".
