A standout feature of Poseidon is its distributed control capability, enabling system operation across multiple computers or sites for unparalleled flexibility and extended operational reach.
This enables over-the-horizon control of the system.
The control system can be enhanced by adding external nodes, nodes that, in essence, are a remote mirror of the master instance. Examples of key applications include control from Remote Operating Facilities, real-time state updates to an office or ship bridge, or easy access to the ROV in the ROV hangar when conducting service.
